Eurostar & Ferry

The nearest Eurostar station to Sheffield is London St. Pancras where you can travel from France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Sheffield train station is directly accessible from St. Pancras with an average journey time of two hours. 

Sheffield’s nearest passenger ferry port is located at Hull Ferry Terminal. You can travel here from Europort Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Sheffield can be reached by rail from Hull, with a short journey by bus or taxi from the port to the city centre.

National & Local Public Transport

Due to its central location, Sheffield is very well connected to other cities and regions by rail – London can be reached in two hours, Manchester in 50 minutes and Leeds in 45 minutes.

From Sheffield station you can travel directly to the University’s main campus by tram, with journeys taking less than 10 minutes. To do this catch a blue route service from the tram stop at the station towards Malin Bridge. Trams run every 12 minutes.

Alternatively you can catch one of a number of buses from outside the station, or if you fancy some fresh air it’s only a 20 minute walk!
