UK and World Energy Storage Conference
14–17th April 2025
Sheffield is proud to be hosting the UK and World Energy Storage Conferences, combined for the second time, after being held together at the University of Birmingham in 2022.
Supported by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council’s Supergen Energy Storage Network+ Programme, the three day conference will address topics including:

Electrical Energy Storage
Thermal Storage
Systems and Integration
Materials for Storage
Policy and Markets
The event aims to bring together students, researchers, educators, and industry from across the UK and the world.
Through a combination of distinguished plenary speakers, workshops, posters, and seminars, UKES will showcase the latest research, innovation, and technology emerging in this vital sector.
The UK & World Energy Storage Conference creates new opportunities for international collaboration to be established, whilst providing a platform for industries to build relationships with universities and companies across the globe.

The conference will commence with a Welcome & Registration Event from 7pm on Monday 14 April 2025
You will have a chance to meet colleagues, make new connections, and register for the conference. Collect your delegate pack, and enjoy drinks and canapes in the University of Sheffield’s Firth Hall, situated in one of the oldest buildings on campus, the Edwardian Grade II listed Firth Court.
Situated in the heart of the city, the gallery houses exhibitions of contemporary art and showcases Sheffield’s metalwork history. There are limited spaces available so, make sure to select the Full Conference Pass, which includes the Gala Dinner.
