Instructions for authors
All accepted submissions have been evaluated by the UKES committee to decide on the presentation format for each submission.
There are two presentation formats at UKES26:
Oral presentation: A conventional oral presentation of 10 minutes + 4 minutes for Q&A
Include the submission ID on the title slide.
There is no UKES template. You are free to use any design you like.
Upload the presentation slides by Wednesday 15.04.2026 on the conference portal: https://ukes26.exordo.com
Navigate to "My Presentation", select "Upload Presentations Material" and follow the instructions to upload your presentation.
Poster and flash talk: Authors are required to prepare a poster and one presentation slide for the 90 second flash talk in the dedicated plenary session. The poster will be presented throughout the first two days of the conference with a dedicated poster session.
Include the submission ID on the poster and presentation slide.
The poster should be up to A1 in size.
There is no UKES template. You are free to use any design you like.

Registration: The presenting author must register and pay the conference fee by 27.03.2026 at the latest. If the presenting author does not register and pay by this date, the paper will not be included in the conference.
Conference proceedings
All accepted submissions have the option to be included in the conference proceedings. These will be published in the UKES online library. While the proceedings will not be indexed, each paper will receive a DOI.
The submission deadline for the conferene proceedings is 31.05.2026. The submission site for the 6-page UKES26 conference paper is now open at https://ukes26.exordo.com under 'My Final Submissions'. The conference paper will be uploaded as submitted to Zenodo and the authors will retain the copyright.
The conference paper can be up to 6 pages and must use the UKES26 template. The easiest and most consistent way is to use the LaTeX template on Overleaf. Overleaf has a free pricing tier.
